This is a logo design for a church in Corvallis, "Christ Church". I was pleasantly surprised when they picked this option, as it was the more daring, controversial option - without the expected symbols used for churches.
The concept behind it is organic growth, expansion and connection. Where the "T" crossed the "H", it resembles an ancient Chrisogram, "IHS", which is used as a icon.
To compliment the simplicity of the logo, I created colorful symbols to each represent an aspect of the church, which I translated into a pattern to use with the logo.
